Over the course of the Connecting Across Greenbelt events, we’ve collected useful resources exploring Greenbelt and celebrating the diversity in our community. Some of these events have been fun and entertaining, others have been on more serious and weighty topics. Here are some of the resources that have been shared:

Mental Health Resources:
- The Caring and Connecting Toolkit, a collection of exercises to support wellbeing through caring for and connecting with yourself and others. The toolkit is divided into five categories of wellness: body, mind, spirit, heart, and community. Within each category you’ll find examples of exercises/activities including a description of what the exercise is/how to do it as well as a space to add in your own ideas.
- Additional Mental Health Resources for African Americans and Teens:
- The Unapologetic Guide to Black Mental Health, by Rheeda Walker, PhD, and Walker’s website
- Overview of symptoms of depression in teens
- Therapy referral source/podcast founded by a Black psychologist
- Our Mental Health Minute, educational podcast founded by two Black psychologists, as well as a video series by the same
Festive Dishes and Celebratory Traditions
- A folder full of recipes shared by participants in the virtual gathering
Microaggressions:
- An overview of microaggressions from the University of New Hampshire, with examples focused on gender microaggressions.
- Examples of racial microaggressions from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
- A collection of examples of microaggressions provided by various individuals
- A video of microaggressions expert Dr. Derald Wing Sue, and an additional video from PBS NewsHourthat includes an interview with him as well
Public Safety:
