There are parks, playgrounds, sports fields and basketball courts throughout the area.  Greenbelt Recreation Department offers a wide variety of activities throughout the year.  You can find current offerings in the Recreation Activity Guide found through the City website – https://www.greenbeltmd.gov/

Recognizing that some residents may require financial assistance, the City has a Financial Assistance program designed to assist eligible individuals and families to participate in our programs at a reduced fee.  Apply online at greenbeltmd.gov/recreation or pick up an application in any Recreation facility. Only Greenbelt residents can apply.

  • Playgroups /Greenbelt Mamas and Papas provide fellowship and support for parents of young children. New members are always welcome. We meet every Wednesday at the playground opposite the Greenbelt Public Library on Crescent Road, or in the Greenbelt Youth Center in the winter and bad weather. 10:30 am – 1pm

  • Greenbelt Unplugged (https://greenbeltunplugged.org/) is a group engaged in facilitating person-to-person connections in or near Greenbelt which sponsors activities throughout the year. Past events have included Improv Games, Mindfulness Meditation and a Community Croquet Match.
